James Ravden is a Partner in Simpson Thacher’s Fund Transactions Practice based in London. He advises clients on the structuring and negotiation of complex secondary market liquidity transactions, including GP-led and LP-led secondary transactions (including single and multi-asset continuation funds, tenders and strip sales), preferred equity financings and other structured secondary transactions on both a concentrated basis (including single asset transactions) and a diversified portfolio basis.

In addition, James advises asset managers and their investors on a range of other corporate and fund related matters, including co-investment transactions and restructurings. He also has experience providing advice to clients on asset management M&A and GP-stake transactions.
