Meg Lewis is a Partner in the Antitrust and Trade Regulation Practice. Based in Washington, D.C., she focuses on complex investigations, government enforcement matters, and high-stakes litigation involving antitrust, white collar defense, and congressional scrutiny.

A former federal prosecutor, Meg held leadership positions in the DOJ’s Antitrust Division and the Offices of the Deputy Attorney General and Legislative Affairs. As an Assistant Chief in the Washington Criminal Sections, she supervised and led investigations and prosecutions of domestic and international antitrust and fraud violations, including bid rigging, price fixing, market allocation, algorithmic pricing, criminal monopolization and procurement fraud. Meg also served as lead counsel on a precedent-setting federal jury trial involving criminal no-poach agreements and has extensive experience in labor antitrust enforcement issues. She is known for her skill and strategy in managing complex investigations, including cross-border antitrust cartel investigations, public procurement fraud, and other exposure that may lead to parallel criminal, civil and regulatory proceedings.

During her decade at DOJ, Meg also held senior positions in the Offices of the Deputy Attorney General and Legislative Affairs, where she routinely led the Department’s response to congressional oversight inquiries, prepared senior officials for congressional testimony and advised Department leadership on legislative priorities.

Now back in the private sector, Meg leverages her extensive experience to guide clients through all phases of complex regulatory, enforcement and litigation challenges. Clients turn to Meg for proactive compliance counseling, detailed internal investigations and her pragmatic approach to advising business leaders on navigating multi-faceted antitrust issues. Her deep knowledge of antitrust enforcement policy and experience across a wide range of industries makes her a credible and powerful advocate. Meg has successfully de-escalated government inquiries but equally serves clients as a tenacious advocate in the courtroom when litigation arises.

Meg has wide-ranging experience with complex internal investigations, antitrust leniency applications, grand jury inquiries, white collar prosecutions, parallel civil litigation, negotiation of resolutions, crisis management and congressional inquiries. Her experience spans a wide range of industries, including energy, healthcare, financial services, agriculture, consumer products, technology, and government contracts.

Meg serves as the Chair-Elect of the Federal Bar Association’s Antitrust & Trade Regulation Section. She is a three-time recipient of the Antitrust Division Assistant Attorney General’s Award and was selected by the Antitrust Division to serve as a Non-Governmental Advisor to the International Competition Network (ICN), with a focus on the Cartel Working Group. She also has been recognized in the Legal 500 US Corporate Investigations and White-Collar Criminal Defense category.

Meg earned her J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center in 2005 and her B.A. from Pomona College in 2002. She is admitted to practice in the District of Columbia and California.
