Tam’s experience prior to joining Simpson Thacher includes advising:
  • Blue Owl on the following digital infrastructure transactions:
    • Multiple joint ventures with Crusoe Energy Systems totaling approximately $15 billion, for the development of a 1.2 GW AI data center campus in Texas
    • Multiple joint ventures with Chirisa Technology Parks and PowerHouse Data Centers, totaling approximately $6.8 billion, for the development of several AI data center campuses in Northern Virginia and Pennsylvania
    • $1.2 billion joint venture for the development of a data center campus with expected capacity up to 42 MW in New Jersey
    • Joint venture for the development of the Illinois Quantum and Microelectronics Park (IQMP), on the site of the former U.S. Steel South Works site in Chicago
    • Acquisition of the business of digital infrastructure fund manager IPI Partners, LLC
  • TPG Real Estate on a joint venture with Digital Realty, in which TPG acquired majority stake in three stabilized hyperscale data centers in Northern Virginia at an aggregate value of $1.5 billion
  • One of the world’s largest private digital infrastructure funds in a joint venture for the $400 million ground-up development of a state-of-the-art hyperscale datacenter in Japan

Tam received his J.D. from Rutgers Law School and his B.A. in Philosophy and Mathematics from Rutgers College. He is a native Vietnamese speaker.
