Grenfel S. Calheiros Moderates and Cheryl J. Scarboro Speaks at PLI’s Current Developments in Latin American Cross-Border Securities Transactions Institute
Simpson Thacher Corporate Partner Grenfel Calheiros and Litigation Partner Cheryl Scarboro will both participate in the second annual Current Developments in Latin American Cross-Border Securities Transactions Institute, held by the Practising Law Institute on September 16 in São Paulo, Brazil.
Mr. Calheiros will moderate the panel titled “Developments in SEC and CVM Regulations for Easing Issuer Market Access,” which will discuss updates on SEC and local developments in easing market access for midsized issuers. Ms. Scarboro will speak on the panel titled “Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA), Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) and Other Money Laundering Regulations,” which will cover guidelines published by the SEC and DOJ on the FCPA and their effects on corporate finance transactions.
