Alan Klein, Co-Head of Simpson Thacher’s Mergers & Acquisitions Group, was featured in a The M&A Journal Q&A in which renowned industry practitioners described their experiences advising on M&A matters since the start of the pandemic and the outlook for the market and dealmaking over the next months and years. Among the topics he spoke about, Alan discussed the Firm’s unwavering ability to provide clients with top-of-the-line service even during this unique and unprecedented time, while still maintaining a focus on the well-being of colleagues in the M&A Practice and at the Firm. Alan noted, “In some cases, [our clients] have had desperate crises arising out of the pandemic. In other cases, there are opportunities for them that they need to take advantage of immediately. And there is everything in between.” He further said that, “Many of our clients have done very complicated, sophisticated, stressful things over this period, and we have been fortunate to be able to help them.”
