Simpson Thacher Represents Hamilton Lane’s Newly Launched US Registered Venture Capital and Growth Evergreen Fund

Global private markets investment management firm Hamilton Lane recently launched a US registered evergreen fund focused on global venture capital and growth investments.  Simpson Thacher represents Hamilton Lane Venture Capital and Growth Fund (the “Fund”), a continuously offered evergreen investment vehicle registered as a closed-end investment company under the 1940 Act, in connection with its formation, seeding structure and continuous public offering.    

The Fund seeks to provide long-term capital appreciation through a tactically constructed portfolio of direct and indirect investments in private companies in their early (i.e., venture capital) and growth stages of development across a number of sectors, investment stages and geographies that Hamilton Lane believes are poised to experience high growth.The Fund aims to deliver strong returns by investing in disruptive technologies and innovative companies, while leveraging Hamilton Lane’s deep expertise in private markets co-investments and secondaries to access compelling deal flow.  Structured as an evergreen vehicle, the portfolio is diversified across vintage year, transaction type, manager, strategy and geography.
