Simpson Thacher is representing Grant Thornton Advisors LLC (“Grant Thornton”) in connection with the expansion of Grant Thornton’s multinational platform through the pending acquisition of Grant Thornton Netherlands. The transaction is expected to close later this year, subject to regulatory approvals and other standard closing conditions.
Grant Thornton Netherlands’s team of almost 800 professionals across eight Dutch offices will join the platform’s nearly 13,000 team members in almost 60 offices worldwide.
Simpson Thacher also represented New Mountain in its initial growth investment in Grant Thornton in May 2024 and Grant Thornton in the establishment of its multinational platform through the acquisitions of Grant Thornton Ireland, Grant Thornton UAE and Grant Thornton (Cayman) earlier this year and the pending acquisition of Grant Thornton Luxembourg.
