Rony Rothken Profiled in Law360 as 2025 Fund Formation “MVP”
Partner Rony Rothken was profiled by Law360 as a Fund Formation “MVP” for 2025. Law360 highlighted Rony’s work advising on multiple significant fundraises over the past year, including ICG’s fifth GP-led secondaries fund program, which raised $11 billion of capital commitments; and Blackstone’s seventh and most recent European opportunistic real estate fund, Blackstone Real Estate Partners Europe VII, which at €9.8 billion ($10.6B) was the largest European real estate drawdown fund ever raised based on third party capital commitments.
Asked what motivates him, Rony said he enjoys working with his colleagues to achieve clients’ objectives on matters that are often fast-moving and complex. “We work on complicated deals with lots of moving parts, often on compressed timelines, and the only way we're able to get this done over and over again is because we're able to work well so cohesively as a team,” he said. “We have such a talented and dedicated bench of lawyers, and it's always so satisfying when we're able to accomplish our goals and our clients' goals by working together.”
