Simpson Thacher Advises Sound Point on Bridge Financing for BasePoint’s Acquisition of International Personal Finance
Simpson Thacher is representing affiliates of Sound Point Capital Management, L.P. in connection with their provision of committed bridge financing for BasePoint Capital LLC’s approximately £543 million ($733 million) recommended cash acquisition of International Personal Finance plc, a leading provider of consumer credit and related services. The acquisition was announced pursuant to Rule 2.7 of the UK Takeover Code and is expected to be implemented by way of a court-sanctioned scheme of arrangement.
