The Firm represented BBVA Securities Inc., BofA Securities, Inc., Citigroup Global Markets Inc., HSBC Securities (USA) Inc., J.P. Morgan Securities LLC, Morgan Stanley & Co. LLC, Santander US Capital Markets LLC and Scotia Capital (USA) Inc., as initial purchasers, in connection with the offerings by Comisión Federal de Electricidad (“CFE”) of US$1 billion in aggregate principal amount of its 6.045% Notes due 2034 and US$500 million in aggregate principal amount of its 6.500% Notes due 2051.
The Firm is also representing the initial purchasers, as dealer managers, in a cash tender offer being made by CFE for its outstanding 4.688% Sustainable Notes due 2029, 6.125% Notes due 2045 and 6.264% Sustainable Notes due 2052.
CFE is the national electricity company of Mexico and is 100% owned by the Mexican government. CFE has the exclusive right to transmit and distribute electricity in Mexico, and it generates most of the electricity consumed in Mexico.
