Javad Asghari and Sam Rudik Speak at DealCatalyst’s Digital Infrastructure Finance 2.0 Conference

06.18.26

Javad Asghari and Sam Rudik participated at the DealCatalyst conference, Digital Infrastructure Finance 2.0: The Role of Private and Public Capital, held in New York City on June 17. The conference explored scalable capital strategies supporting the development of critical assets such as data centers, fiber networks, and computer chips, ranging from traditional infrastructure and corporate debt to emerging instruments such as securitized data center cash flows and GPU chip-backed ABS.

Javad, a Partner in the Energy and Infrastructure group, was the moderator for the panel titled, “Power, Interconnection, and Capital Markets: Financing the Bottleneck,” which examined power capacity as the central constraint in data center financing. Participants examined the convergence of digital infrastructure and power, regulatory fragmentation, behind-the-meter solutions, and the relationship between capital deployment and project readiness, as well as evolving investor risks and opportunities.

Sam, a Partner in the Real Estate group, moderated the panel titled, “Structuring the Deal: JV, Land, and Development Agreements in Practice.” This panel discussed the allocation of risk in modern data center deals and the evolution of joint venture structures, leases, and capital stacks. Panelists explored shifting power economics, permitting challenges, political risk, and the increasing use of creative financing structures.

The conference convened industry leaders across banking, development, investment, legal, and ratings sectors to examine how private and public capital are meeting the growing funding demands of next-generation digital infrastructure. For more information, please click here.
