Crusoe Enters Into Strategic Partnership with Aalo Atomics to Deploy World's First Nuclear-Powered AI Factory

08.04.26

Simpson Thacher & Bartlett LLP is advising Crusoe in connection with its strategic partnership with Aalo Atomics to develop and deploy the world's first nuclear-powered AI data center at Idaho National Laboratory.

Under the arrangement, Aalo Atomics will initially power a Crusoe Spark™ modular data center, running Crusoe Cloud, at the site as a proof of concept, supporting the growing energy demands of artificial intelligence infrastructure with carbon-free power. Looking forward, Aalo and Crusoe intend to deploy Aalo Pods and Aalo’s 50 MWe XMR power plants at Crusoe data centers by the end of 2029.

The Simpson Thacher team includes Javad Asghari, Roy Jackson, Adam Petno, and Zach Howard (Energy and Infrastructure), Michael Isby (Environmental); and Ron Ben-Yehuda (IP).
