Northampton Capital Partners and Provident Data Centers Launch Dallas Data Center Joint Venture

09.03.26

Simpson Thacher advised Northampton Capital Partners LLC (“Northampton”), an alternative asset management firm focused on infrastructure investments across North America, in connection with Northampton’s entry into a joint venture with Provident Data Centers, a division of the Dallas based real estate developer Provident, to develop a next-generation turnkey data center with 54MW of critical capacity in the North Dallas Corridor (delivering late 2027).

The 74MW site benefits from its location in the Dallas market, one of the most active and capacity-constrained data center markets in the world, and offers low latency access to critical interconnects in this key hub for nationwide data center connectivity. Beyond this initial project, Northampton and Provident Data Centers have agreed to a framework to continue their partnership developing inference-ready data center sites in top tier markets across the United States.

The Simpson Thacher team includes Gabriel Silva, Tam Ho, Braxton Duhon, Gavin Jaco and John Carter (Energy & Infrastructure); Brian Chisling, Eric Zhi and Chelsey Schroeter (Power); Andrew Purcell and Mohanad Salaimi (Tax); Carleigh Rodriguez and Logan Lineberry (Environmental); Kelly Karapetyan (Antitrust); Ron Ben-Yehuda (Intellectual Property); Dennis Loiacono (Real Estate).
