Dave Nemecek Quoted in Bloomberg Law on Capital Structure Solutions Capabilities
Dave Nemecek, Head of the Capital Structure Solutions Practice, was quoted in a Bloomberg Law article, which explored the increased focus on restructuring, liability management and capital solutions capabilities in the legal sector. The piece discussed how client desire for a single multidisciplinary team with chapter 11, restructuring, liability management and opportunistic credit capabilities was a driving factor in the launch of Simpson Thacher’s Capital Structure Solutions Practice in February 2026. When reflecting on how the Firm had the foundation to build such a team and that every person is encouraged to be a capital structure solutions lawyer, Dave noted, “We don’t split the team between liability management and restructuring. That’s not our business.”
