Lindsay Rutishauser is Counsel in the Firm’s Private Funds Practice. She advises fund sponsors on the formation, fundraising and operation of private investment funds across a variety of strategies.

Prior to joining the Firm, Lindsay served as a Principal and Chief Compliance Officer at a global private equity and venture capital firm, where she provided leadership across all legal and compliance matters, including fund formation, investments and regulatory matters.

Based in the Firm’s New York office, Lindsay Rutishauser is Counsel in the Private Funds Practice. She advises fund sponsors on the formation, fundraising and operation of private investment funds across a variety of strategies.

Prior to joining the Firm, Lindsay served as a Principal and Chief Compliance Officer at Motive Partners, a global private equity and venture capital firm investing in the financial technology sector with assets under management of approximately $5 billion, where she was responsible for leading the day-to-day management and strategic execution of the firm’s legal and compliance function, including fund formation, private equity and venture capital investments, co-investments, internal incentive plans, and regulatory and compliance matters. She also has prior experience as a Vice President in the legal department at a different private equity firm, where she focused on fundraising, investment and compliance matters. Lindsay also practiced for several years at another international law firm, where she advised sponsors on the formation and operation of private investment funds across a broad range of asset classes.

Lindsay received her J.D. and an LLM in International & Comparative Law from the Duke University School of Law in 2014 and her B.A., magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa, in History and International Relations from Tufts University in 2011.
