Simpson Thacher represented Centersquare, a portfolio company of Brookfield and a leading provider of advanced colocation facilities in key markets across North America and the U.K., on the acquisition of 10 data centers across the United States and Canada with enterprise value of US$1 billion.
The transactions allowed Centersquare to expand its portfolio to 80 facilities and significantly increase its capacity to support high-density computing workloads. The transactions include data centers in Boston and Minneapolis that Centersquare had been operating under long-term lease agreements, along with eight additional colocation facilities in Dallas, Tulsa, Nashville, Raleigh, Toronto and Montreal.
