Live Nation Acquires Majority Stake in Movistar Arena
Simpson Thacher represented Live Nation Entertainment, Inc. ("Live Nation") in connection with its acquisition of a majority stake in Movistar Arena Buenos Aires, one of Latin America’s marquee live entertainment venues.
Live Nation is a leading live entertainment company, and the acquisition further enhances Live Nation’s presence in Argentina and across Latin America. Movistar Arena Buenos Aires has become one of the region’s premier venues since opening in 2019 and serves as a destination for both international touring artists and leading regional talent. Live Nation’s acquisition is expected to support Movistar Arena Buenos Aires’ continued commitment to delivering a first-class experience for artists, fans, and promoters.
