She represents such leading international fund sponsors as The Blackstone Group and Northwood Investors and recently advised The Blackstone Group in its acquisition of assets of GE Capital Real Estate in a transaction valued at approximately $23 billion.

Wheatly MacNamara is a Partner in Simpson Thacher’s London office and a member of the Firm’s Corporate Department. Wheatly’s main area of concentration is real estate, an area in which the Firm has a preeminent international presence.

Wheatly concentrates her practice on private equity real estate acquisitions, dispositions and joint ventures. She represents such leading international fund sponsors as The Blackstone Group and Northwood Investors.

Wheatly started her career at Simpson Thacher in 2005 and was made partner in 2016. She received her J.D. in 2005 from Stanford Law School where she was an editor of the Stanford Law Review and the Stanford Journal of International Law. She received a B.A. and B.S. degree from Duke University in 2001.
