KKR to Acquire Gen II Fund Services for $5.1 Billion from Hg and General Atlantic

Simpson Thacher is representing KKR in connection with its agreement to acquire Gen II Fund Services, LLC from Hg, General Atlantic and other minority investors for a total enterprise value of $5.1 billion.  Gen II will be acquired through KKR’s Core Private Equity Strategy.  The transaction is subject to customary closing conditions and regulatory approvals and is expected to close in 2027.

Gen II is a leading fund administrator serving the private markets industry, providing fund administration services to more than 275 investment managers representing over $2 trillion in assets, alongside a growing suite of tax, compliance, treasury and technology-enabled solutions.
